Simon Mikhil, a graduate student in Ergonomics and Human Factors, always had an interest in creating things on computers. In college, a few classes on UX and workshops spiked his interest in programming, and he decided to learn how to code. This is his story.
I have always been interested in computers and creating stuff with them. I grew up playing around with Adobe products.
However, it was during my graduate program that I really became interested in coding. My professors mentioned coding, how it benefited them, and how it complemented UX design, something I took a few classes for. This spiked my interest in it – I thought coding could further fuel my creativity.
So, I signed up for a workshop at my college and then started looking for online coding courses that weren't just video lectures. This eventually led me to Programiz PRO.
I was pretty new to programming, so there wasn't really a problem with programming. When I first started learning to code, I just wanted to commit to finishing a course – it was more of a mental thing.
I didn't have many hiccups learning the fundamentals. I only had challenges with advanced topics like importing packages and setting up and integrating tools like VS Code into my workflow.
